
Dr Mark Williams is a clinical scientist and holds a Fellowship of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (FHGSA) in Molecular Genetics, as well as a PhD from the University of Queensland. He is the Chief Scientist at Genomic Diagnostics, leading a team that provides NATA-accredited germline, somatic, haematology and reproductive genomic assays.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in diagnostic pathology and genomics in both public and private laboratories. He is the deputy chair of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA) Board of Censors for Diagnostic Genomics and is actively involved in supervising scientific and genetic pathology trainees.
Mark has a clinical interest in improving patient care by integrating automation, new genomic techniques, and bioinformatic workflows into the clinical diagnostic laboratory.
