Jodie Fitness is the Chief Scientist for Genomic Diagnostics QLD cytogenomics laboratory, appointed to the role in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and brings over 18 years of experience in cytogenetics, including 15 years with Healius. Throughout her career, Jodie has held a range of leadership roles including Supervising Scientist in Haematology Cytogenetics and FISH, as well as 2IC roles. She obtained her MHGSA qualification in 2013 and is currently undertaking RCPA Fellowship studies with the Faculty of Science (FFSc).
Jodie has been an Associate Assessor with the ASDG QAP Committee since 2018, contributing her expertise to quality assurance and professional standards in the field. She has a keen interest in training and development within the field of cytogenetics.
