Chorionic villus sample (CVS) or amniotic fluid
Chorionic villus sample: 10-30mg in sterile saline or transport media OR
Amniotic fluid: 3 x 10mL in sterile falcon tube

DO NOT SEPARATE TUBES, SEND ALL TUBES TO YOUR LOCAL LABORATORY IMMEDIATELY.
Specimens must be transported at 4 degrees, and MUST BE packaged so that the specimen tube(s) DO NOT touch the icebricks. For overnight transport, the sample should be cooled and MUST NOT be frozen.
